Uninsured & Underinsured Motorist Coverage

If the person who caused the accident doesn't have insurance or doesn't have enough insurance to pay for your injuries, you may have your own insurance available to pay for your injuries. It's called uninsurance or underinsurance coverage. In Massachusetts, uninsurance coverage is compulsory. Check your motor vehicle insurance policy to see what coverage you may have available.

Note: These are general statements of the law and the law can change. there are very specific rules on who is entitled to what type of automobile insurance benefits. you should consult with an experienced attorney regarding your specific case.
